Life Groups: The Heartbeat of Discipleship

Opening Summary

Pastor Daren reminded us that the heartbeat of our church is determined discipleship in relationship. Discipleship is not just about attending church but growing deeper through daily relationship with Jesus and with one another. Life Groups are vital because true spiritual maturity flourishes through real relationships, not isolated faith. As disciples, we are called to be hungry, humble, and teachable, pursuing Christ together.

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Jesus to make a way for us to live in covenant relationship with You and with one another. Lord Jesus, we ask for Your grace to grow into determined disciples. Holy Spirit, convict our hearts with truth and transform us into the likeness of Christ. Teach us to love deeply, serve humbly, and build up Your body in unity. May our hunger for Your Word increase, our humility deepen, and our teachable spirits honor You. Amen.

Challenge for the Week

This week, seek to join a life group. Consider how you can build up someone in your Life Group when you attend. Pray for them, reach out to them in the week, and look for a way to encourage them spiritually. Let’s be hungry, humble, and teachable as we pursue determined discipleship through relationship!

Closing Prayer

Father, thank You for calling us into Your family through Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, continue to form Your heart in us. Holy Spirit, grow in us a spirit of determined discipleship—help us to be hungry for Your Word, humble in Your correction, and teachable to Your ways. Knit us together as Your body in love and maturity. Amen.
